Hello,

Community of Hope, North Portland’s only shelter for homeless families, exists to empower Portland’s homeless single-parent families to seek hope, healing, and stability while living in a safe, supportive environment. Residents can stay for up to six months and many use that time to regain strength, clarity, and the practical skills needed to make the next move toward successful housing.

One May 20, 2023, we will be hosting 2023’s major fundraising event: the 8th Annual Raise Hope Gala at Bauccio Commons at the University of Portland. We are anticipating a sellout crowd of 200 attendees and our ambitious goal is to raise $100,000! As a business leader, your support is vital for us continuing our important work. Here’s how you can help:

Portland’s homelessness epidemic is not slowing down. The combination of lack of affordable housing options and the COVID-19 epidemic has pushed many families farther from finding stability. For a growing number of single-parent families with nowhere to turn, Community of Hope is a vital and transformative link in the safety net. Your help makes a difference in their lives. Please consider donating a good or service to our auction.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and for investing in our community!

Sincerely,

Marty Mertz, Program Director, Community of Hope

A gala team member is happy to pick up your donation. Unfortunately, we cannot accept live animals, vehicles, items with unusual storage requirements, items with significant handling costs, or items which we do not think can be readily sold at the event. A donation tax receipt will be provided via AllOne Community Services EIN 27-1632045.
