Thank you to all who joined us Saturday, July 27th for an evening of inspiring speakers, a fantastic raffle and special appeal, and dinner with local wine and beer, as we went “all in, all together” to raise just over $50,000 to empower Portland’s houseless single-parent families.

Community of Hope exists to empower eight homeless single-parent families at a time to cultivate hope, healing, and stability while living in a safe, supportive environment.
Since its inception in late 2013, Community of Hope has provided temporary refuge for 112 parents and 185 children. Residents can stay for up to six months and many use that time to build skills, heal from trauma, find jobs, and make the next move toward successful housing. Ongoing financial support comes primarily from individuals and local organizations.
Our aim is to raise $50,000- or more- together! It’s a big goal and we are excited to offer all kinds of engaging ways for you to be a part of the action. We’re planning pre-sale raffle entries (watch Facebook for sneak peeks of all 8 creatively curated raffle packages!), a wine pull with a purpose, opportunities to upgrade your table’s dessert options, a chance to outbid opponents to pen your signature on the special legacy “Shower Curtain Shadow Box”, and we’ll end our evening together with a paddle raise where we can be All in. All together.
Every donation received at the gala will be used to support and transform the lives of the families who call Community of Hope home. Our 24/7 program relies heavily on the generous support of community organizations and individuals to pay staff, purchase curriculum, and yes, keep the lights on.
While there is no official dress code for the evening, many guests enjoy dressing fashionably formal- this might mean a fun cocktail dress, a smart pantsuit, or a jacket, maybe even a tie. Whatever makes you feel ready to have a good time for a great cause is all that really matters!
While we certainly love kids, and Hope House is often filled with the sounds of their laughter and/or tears, the Gala will be a 21+ atmosphere. Please make arrangements for your children to be cared for while you enjoy an evening out!

The University of Portland is located at 5000 N Willamette Blvd. Portland, OR 97203. For those who don’t mind a short stroll through a pleasant campus quad, please park in the main lot and follow the signs for Raise Hope 2019. If you or those in your party a slightly less mobile, feel free to park in the smaller lot adjacent to Bauccio Commons.
