New Garden and Deck

Our new garden and deck were created by than 40 adults and students gathered at Hope House to work in our garden area planting flowers, clearing out weeds, and building a beautiful deck area. Twenty adults from CBRE Cares attended, and the organization donated all of the material we used as well

Community of Hope Open House

IMG_1483 Community of Hope celebrated with an Open House. After five months of being closed, we were able to cut the ribbon to welcome aver 125 guests to our newly renovated building. It was a wonderful celebration! Ken Cowdery, the Executive Director of the Home Builders Foundation, welcomed the crowd. Josh Hawk, Executive Director of AllOne Community Services, the agency that sponsors Community of Hope, shared their joy in the completion of the project. Dale Hosely, president of Clear Water Construction, our general contractor, said they were honored to be a part of this project. Chris Olinger represented Red Sea Church, our landlords who graciously allow us to use this building rent free. Lutheran Youth Group Cleans Up

IMG_1483A Lutheran Youth Group from North Dakota came and cleaned up the building in the middle of our construction work. There were screws, plaster, and assorted garbage on the floor, cove molding that still needed to be taken out, and weeds in our garden and parking lot. They took care of them all! Thank you so much! New Playground

IMG_1483CBRE Cares donated a new playground, bark chips and fencing materials and then came and put them together. They came on Earth Day to help our kids have a fun, safe place to play outside. In spite of rain, they worked hard to assemble the playground equipment and build the fence. They split into two teams who expertly went to work. The race was on for who would complete the work first, but the fencers won! They were glad to be able to sweat and work hard for a good cause (and be out of the office!)
